Feel Free to Use this Badge

With all of the unauthorized harvesting of our posts that is going on at tygpress.com and seemingly not much that can be done to stop it, I created this badge that I will attach to all of my blog posts going forward.EDC343BA-4E67-4F78-BDFB-02FE6D5C0A26Please feel free to grab this image and post it on your blog. By doing so, this image should show up on your posts that have been stolen by tygpress.

You’re welcome.

Great idea, thank you! All my sites are self hosted (WP.org), but it’s still a good idea, just in case…

I’m adding it to any SYW posts going forward AND I’ll go back and put in on the older ones (for a month or two) as well. That ought to cover the situation, although I have to wonder how long those creeps have been doing that?

I’d never heard of tygpress, googled Shrawley and all my posts came up with photos. What is Tygpress and why is all my stuff there?

It’s a site based in India that harvests posts, many of them from bloggers on WordPress, and posts them on its own site. I guess it does it to get traffic and clicks. But it’s stealing our creative work, our intellectual property, and it’s sinister.

Thank you for this. I shall start putting it on some that are still visible, that I don’t plan to hide. But I am starting to put a majority under password protect.

Fandango – thank you for creating this! I had a similar idea with a disclaimer on all my blogs that Tygapress was unauthorized to use it. But your badge makes is front and center!! Thank you again!!

Thanks for enabling the badge! Very concerning and upsetting that it’s happened to so many talented bloggers & hopefully this will encourage more top-down action to remedy this 🙂

🙂 That was rather brilliant of you, Fandango.

At the moment, I am putting together an article based on Tygpress’s atrocities.

Reblogged this on Life Lessons From Around the Dinner Table and commented:
Typgress.com is stealing a lot of our blog posts & using the content as their own. I was surprised to find so many of my blog posts, & so many of those I follow. Fandango created this wonderful badge for us to use. Hopefully this will deter them.

I’m going to make it a little smaller. This will really take up a bit more space than there’s room for, but it’s a good idea.
