Shock Waves

His behavioral mode was to exude confidence and to make people believe that he knew what he was doing. His messaging always seemed coherent and relatable. His objective was the creation of a charismatic persona, one that would engender trust and get rich people to hand him piles of money for him to invest on their behalf. But his real goal was to propel himself to the top of the financial heap.

When the investigators let it slip that he was running an enormous Ponzi scheme, and all of his once very wealthy investors lost their personal fortunes, the sting to the financial world was immense, sending shock waves through the industry.
