I don’t understand what Nancy Pelosi is waiting for. Her dilatory tactics with respect to impeachment baffle me. Why is she being critical of other Democrats instead of taking action to stymie Donald Trump?
I watch the news nightly and it’s obvious that Donald Trump is behaving like a Mafia kingpin. He’s functioning more like a dictator than a president, ignoring traditions, committing illegal acts, and obstructing justice in order to continue to do whatever he wants to do.
Donald Trump has turned our county into a disrespected laughingstock around the globe. He has caused a huge strain in our relationships with our allies while embracing America’s adversaries. He’s doing the bidding of the rich and entitled while he tries to take away healthcare from those who need it, attacks America’s free press, promotes racism and white supremacy, and uses fear and insecurity to scare the gullible electorate into supporting his bid to remain above the law.
His administration is committing atrocities at our southern border. His policies are jeopardizing our environment. He’s treating climate change as if it isn’t an issue. He’s moving to take away women’s reproductive rights while erasing the lines between church and state.
Is this man a reflection of what America once was and ought to be? Is this what people really think it means to “make America great again”?
Come on, Nancy. It’s time to act. It’s time to save our nation. If, that is, it’s not already too late.

She doesn’t want to alienate people who don’t vote. 🙄

Do I want President Trump to be held accountable? Yes. Do I think he should be impeached? Yes. Does Pelosi know how to count votes? Yes. Does she have the 218 votes to ensure an impeachment in the House is successful? No. She has 80. That number is growing, yes, but it’s a far cry from 218 and not even a majority of Democrats yet. It’s one thing to know that the Senate won’t convict Trump. It’s quite another to have impeachment fail in the House as well. That’s a sure fire way to make sure low-information voters think the President isn’t guilty of the charges right as we head into the 2020 election.

It’s telling that Pelosi can’t get a majority of Democrats to go along with impeachment.

We’re not the Republican party, our politicians don’t “fall in line” because their leader tells them to. What’s telling is the lack of support for impeachment back home in the districts—a sign that the very voters we want our Reps listening to are not on board. At least, not yet.

I don’t understand how the voters back home, with all the lies and deceit and the deplorable actions, are not yet on board. What are they waiting for?

Totally agree with every word BUT, the sad truth is that even if she went all systems go on impeachment, she knows better than anyone that it will be dead on arrival to the Grim Reaper McConnell. I’m very impatient to do SOMETHING to hold Dear Leader accountable but we are, with a Trumplican Senate, effectively impotent to do it.

I heard about that. Wouldn’t that be nice if she could unseat him?

Certainly. I’m hopeful.

I think if the House impeaches him and the hearings are played out on national TV, regardless of what happens in the Senate, it will be like an albatross hanging around Trump’s neck for the re-election. But I’m no political strategist, so what do I know?

I think Pelosi is very smart. Impeachment sounds good, but it is messy. The Democrats don’t control the Senate. tRump has been able to deny, deny deny, and get away with the most horrendous behavior. The charges against him are mounting and the mess with Epstien

That’s my issue. Trump denies, lies, and gets away with it. And the Dems seem to just let it happen again and again.

Pelosi is trying to play it cool. As al of this is dragging one, it is getting worse and worse for the tRump. Pelosi can hardly wait for carrot-top to destroy himself. This insanity has gone way too long. GROG

Well said. However, over 60-million voters put him in office. It seems they plan to repeat that. In the mean time, the D’s unzip and piss all over each other, to the delight of the 60M. More dark days ahead for the Republic. My only emotion is shame.
