FOWC with Fandango — Skimp

FOWCWelcome to May 9, 2019 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “skimp.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

Note: some bloggers have had issues with pingbacks showing up lately, so if you don’t see it shortly after you published your post, you might want manually add your link in the comments.

    I have no problem with pingback as I said before because I use html. I now found this explanation on Internet. Perhaps it might help.

    How to link something in HTML?
    In this example, the anchored text links to the URL http://www.example.com. An href can do a lot more than just link to another website. It can be used to link directly to any element on a web page that has been assigned an id .

    Otherwise try searching in Internet for links in html

      When pingbacks work, they’re great. When they don’t, I just copy my post’s URL and paste into into a comment. It’s just irritating to have to take that extra step to do that when pingbacks should work 100% of the time.

        It works for me but I always paste the link at the bottom of the piece I write.
