They Elected Him Nonetheless

180e264a-67cb-45b1-ac67-c763c90da5b5.jpegUnlike the other graduates from the college —  the one to which his father made a sizable gift so that his son could get admitted — he defied tradition and moved the tassel on his mortarboard from the left side to the right upon receiving his diploma.

That should have been a foreshadowing of things to come five decades later when that same boy, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, would become the leader of the free world.

Could anyone have predicted his unprecedented behavior in office, where he would besmirch our country’s allies and embrace our country’s enemies?

Could anyone have foretold that he would focus his efforts on dividing, rather than uniting, the people he was elected to serve?

Could anyone have envisioned the blot upon human decency he would demonstrate or the stain he would put on the fabric of our great nation?

Yes, they could have. Yes, they should have. But they elected him nonetheless.

I think a lot of people voted for him because they didn’t want to vote for Hillary. I guess they thought he’d become presidential after he won. Boy were they wrong.

All that matters is that no hint of his grades are released and that he didn’t have to go to Vietnam (except that his promiscuousness served to bolster his sense of having endured something, his “own personal Vietnam”). Right?

Since he’s almost always projecting or distracting, he was probably the health threat to anyone with whom he came in contact.

What sucks about it all is that, despite all the vile things he has vomited out of his mouth, there are still people who support him. They argue that they support his business proposals, but here is the thing: you cannot pick and choose what you support. If you support his business proposals, and voted for him, that means you were able to look past all of the bigotry, the homophobia, the racism, the treason. In my book, that’s just as bad as overtly agreeing with his ideology.

Subsequent to the current NZ event, this (“elected”) office-holder (of the Oval) has used terminology that matches that of the Australian (white sovereign type) terrorist… while also saying that white supremacy isn’t a problem.
