JusJoJan — They Gave Him An Inch

7e47d4cd-5480-4ad3-a0fa-726e41ca0bb3Did you ever hear the expression, “Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile”? It basically means that if you make a small concession for someone, that person will be emboldened to take further advantage of you, instead of being content with what you have given them.

So, that old saying about giving an inch and taking a mile needs to be updated in the era of Donald Trump.91ac0e5d-533e-408a-bd28-6b5a6c34a108

Written for Linda G. Hill’s Just Jot It January prompt. Today’s prompt, “inch,” was suggested by John Holden at The Sound of One Hand Typing.

I still tend to use imperial measurement as it’s what I was taught at school, the only time I can think of metric being an improvement is when measuring certain parts of a mans anatomy which sound much bigger in metric.
