This, That, and the Other

I started yesterday morning to write a post for yesterday’s one-word prompts, but it was such a balmy day in the city that I had to get out of the house and enjoy it. So I put that draft post in my pending folder and my family and I took a leisurely stroll through Golden Gate Park, admiring the trees, including the beautiful Pacific Cedar, and the myriad plants, some in uniform patterns, others seemingly planted randomly.

Then we all went out to dinner at a local Italian eatery. By the time I got home, it was late. I had to walk the dog, feed the cat, and then straighten up the place before going to bed. And it wasn’t until this morning before I realized that I had failed to publish my post.

So I opened up my pending draft folder and saw that I’d hardly written anything. And given that there was a whole set of new prompts for today, I decided to exclude yesterday’s prompts and just write a post for today’s prompts.

Please forgive me for missing everyone’s one-word prompts yesterday. But in recognition of their hard work in providing us with inspiration, here are the prompts that I would have posted about yesterday if I’d had the time:
