Welcome to October 2, 2018 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.
I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).
Today’s word is “hardware.”
Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.
Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.
And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

The first thing that comes to mind is my Dad going to our local hardware store (Tuckey’s). This post seems appropriate

Yes, this was a good choice for this prompt. Thanks for reposting it.

I enjoyed your story, RUDDJR. I thought about you and your dad along with crying about my dad (who died not long ago, well a year and a half ago) and remembering one of my grandpas (who had tools in the basement too).

Today, I successfully wrote nothing. There is SO much going on, that it requires real thought and I don’t have time for that today. And I’m pretty sure it won’t fit into a prompt, either. Maybe tomorrow.

But you didn’t write nothing. You wrote something!
