In Other Words — Poor

Old cronies are starting to flip

His approval rating is starting to slip

He seems to be losing his grip

Impeachment may be more than a blip

in other wordsWritten for the In Other Words prompt from Patricia’s Place. We are asked to “write a story or poem of five lines or less using the word poor.”

You have a beautiful website, Helene. And beautiful smile.

I appreciated reading your story, today. Amazing.

              Sounds like a good plan.

Just a reminder. Liberal darling Bill Clinton was impeached and yet remained in office. Impeachment does not automatically mean “you’re fired.”

Yeah, but Bill Clinton wasn’t treasonous.

His little twitter rant about China this morning proved he is really slipping.

He has threatened that everybody will become very poor, if the market falls 🙂

Way he’s going it won’t matter to him anyway.
When Melania gets round to divorcing him, he may find solace on the streets.
    The homeless type of streets.
(That is if they will have him).

Good lines! Will be interesting to see what will happen. Sooner or later we all answer for what we have done or not done and for how we treated others. Although, “poor” Donald probably thinks he won’t have a reckoning one day. Thanks for sharing your poem.

Thanks. Truth is I hardly write poems because…well…I suck at it. But this one just seemed to fit.

Don’t put yourself down like that! You have the same value and worth as the rest of the population.

That may be true in general, but not when it comes to poems. I really do suck at it.
