FOWC with Fandango — Swollen

FOWCWelcome to August 6, 2018 and to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge (aka, FOWC). It’s designed to fill the void after WordPress bailed on its daily one-word prompt.

I will be posting each day’s word just after midnight Pacific Time (US).

Today’s word is “swollen.”

Write a post using that word. It can be prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. It can be any length. It can be just a picture or a drawing if you want. No holds barred, so to speak.

Once you are done, tag your post with #FOWC and create a pingback to this post if you are on WordPress. Or you can simply include a link to your post in the comments.

And be sure to read the posts of other bloggers who respond to this prompt. You will marvel at their creativity.

Another good word. However, at the moment there is another word on my mind and since nobody is owning it (more comfortable with four letter words) and that word is RESPONSIBILITY! If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem.

Yes, indeed. So many people are numb, stressed out and anxious by the constant bombardment of data. It feels like responsibility is dependent upon the ability to respond, and so I am asking, how to create space so that people can feel into and open up their response-ability.

Taking responsibility is not a concept known to our current president. His swollen pride won’t allow that.

While that is a true statement, it does not end with him. The “swollen pride” braggarts are usually the most insecure.

Hey, friend. I’m going to have to get to you later or tomorrow. We’ve got to get Garry to the hospital and I’m just out of time. I knew if was going to get like this and it’s going to get even worse in another week or so. Life is getting in the way of blogging! Imagine that!!! I’ll try to get to writing again in the evening, but this may turn out to be a pass today. Too much to do and I’m getting a bit frazzled!

No worries. Responding to my daily prompt is a low priority. I hope everything is okay with Garry.

I think you have the start to a most enchanting tale – although do I sense a few more plot turns coming up? I’m not a good one for the challenges I’m afraid. Not nearly clever enough.
