Isn’t it amazing how much glee there is on the Right about the news that four women have come forward accusing New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of engaging in rough, albeit consensual, sex.
Within hours of the accusations, Schneiderman resigned. He wrote, “In the last several hours, serious allegations, which I strongly contest, have been made against me. While these allegations are unrelated to my professional conduct or the operations of the office, they will effectively prevent me from leading the office’s work at this critical time. I therefore resign my office.”
Trump aides and supporters are reveling in the allegations leveled at Schneiderman, especially since Schneiderman has used his office to investigate Trump. But the fact that they are dancing on Schneiderman’s political grave is the epitome of hypocrisy.
Donald Trump has been accused by more than a dozen women of sexual harassment. He bragged about assaulting women and “grabbing them by the pussy.” He arranged for hush money to be paid for a porn star with whom he was having an affair shortly after his third wife gave birth to his fifth child. His pal at the National Enquirer paid to spike a story about an affair that Trump was having with a Playboy playmate at around the same time.
Shouldn’t Trump’s supporters be calling for his resignation? He’s guilty of actions much worse than those that Schneiderman is being accused of. But, of course, they aren’t.
And they won’t. Because in their eyes, the man can do no wrong. As Trump, himself, said he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue with a gun and shoot someone and not lose a single vote.
What a bunch of fucking hypocrites Trump’s supporters are.
It is no wonder that he is ranked as the worst president we ever had.

No wonder at all.

Melania’s special interest project as First Lady is on stopping bullying, maybe she can start with the President. An impeachment couldn’t come soon enough but in reality this is still politically a long way off. At least all this baggage will continue to surface during Trump’s re-election and if this can erode even a couple of percentage points of his support then our next President will have the unenviable task of undoing what Trump has done!

Better undoing as continuing, as Pence would do.

Seems a little too convenient that these allegations have surfaced – wouldn’t put it past those who are being threatened by the AG to be behind this.

It’s turning more and more like a melodrama script of a Latin soap opera.
