WPC — Pacific Sunset

For this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge, we are asked to share our favorite photos of a sunrise or a sunset.

I do wake up early every morning before sunrise, but I spend the first hour or so in bed reading posts that show up on my iPhone’s WordPress app’s reader. So I have no sunrise pics to share.

But in the early evenings, my wife and I often walk our dog to the top of Strawberry Hill in Golden Gate Park. And sometime the views looking west toward the setting sun over the Pacific are picture-worthy.

So here are a few of my favorite sunset pictures.

I love the sight of the bridge towers poking up behind the hill tops.

Wow, 24 hours is not a lot of time. It depends on whether you want to stay in the city or explore the Bay Area. Also, it depends upon what you like to do. Do you want to see the quintessential San Francisco sites (i.e., the touristy places) or would you prefer some of the city’s less touristy venues?

I was in San Francisco briefly as a child. Maybe I’ll go back some day on my way to Muir Woods and the PNW. It seems like a beautiful place for a big city.

Like any big city, it has its issues, but it’s also breathtakingly beautiful.
