Another Trump Quote of the Day

“He’s now president for life, president for life. And he’s great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll have to give that a shot someday.”

Donald Trump has already revealed that he will be running for re-election in 2020, making clear that he is planning to cling to power for the maximum eight years. But why limit his reign to just two terms?

After hearing that the ruling Communist Party in China announced that leader Xi Jinping was eliminating the two-term limit for presidency, meaning he could rule indefinitely, Trump told Republican donors at a luncheon at Mar-a-lago yesterday that he thought that was great and actually suggested that we, in the U.S., will have to “give that a shot someday.”

Sure, his surrogates, including his despicable press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, will claim that he was just making a joke. But here’s a man who still denies that Russia meddled in the 2016 elections and is doing nothing to protect against further Russian meddling in this fall’s midterm elections.

He has refused to place additional sanctions on Russia even though those sanctions were overwhelmingly passed by Congress. He has his head so far up Vladimir Putin’s butt that he will never say even one negative word about the Russian dictator.

He is breaking all political and social norms, wants his political adversaries to be investigated by “his” Department of Justice, denigrates the FBI, and has given enormous political powers and influence to his daughter and corrupt son-in-law, even though neither can earn a top secret clearance from “his” FBI.

How much clearer can it be that Donald Trump and his Republican cronies on his cabinet and in the GOP-controlled Congress are tearing at the very fabric of our American democracy?

Written for today’s one-word prompt, “fabric.”

The odds have got to be looking better and better that if he hangs on until 20:20 he will get re elected.

Someone has to tell Trump that he lives in the United States and not Russia.

I really can not belive that people in america chosed Trump, and I think on Clinton voters too. Not many countries have privilege to have politician like Sanders and you elected Clinton, now enjoy with Trump. I personally think in present world situation that he is better choice than Clinton. Greetings from Serbia, you still have better President than we do.

I couldn’t disagree with you more that Trump is a better choice than Clinton. She may not have been very dynamic or charismatic, but she’s not an egotistical moron whose number one priority is self-promotion. Trump is dangerous…for the U.S. and for the world.

We will see how many new wars will start his administration. His biggest plus is that he is not over ambitious. Clinton is one of that persons more more power, I am biased because of what Bill Clinton administration do to us, but not only to us. Then was seen what Hilary whants and it is world domination solely on America. Trump is when you look on few administration before him America oriented. It is early to make final conclusion, we will see at end of his mandate, is he really that bad or just doesn’t have a look for television.

Trump is not overly ambitious? Are you kidding? That’s exactly what he is. He’s the ultimate self-promoter, which is why he stamps his name all over everything. And how can you say he doesn’t have “a look for television”? It was his TV show, “The Apprentice,” that made him a celebrity. It’s not too early to make a final conclusion. He is really that bad!

My previous comment is comparing to Clinton mostly, not speaking generally. His biggest weakness is unstabillity in decisions, he is for something now and few seconds latter he is against. Clinton is stable in her decisons to start wars all over the world. I stil cannot belive that you democrate Americans electied Clinton over Sanders I think that it is the biggest lose for America and the world.

First, I think Clinton would have been less likely to drag the US into a war than Trump is. Second, even if Sanders had beaten Clinton for the Democratic nomination, there is no way he could have won the general election.

We will never know that(could Sanders beat Trump), and I think that it’s(Sanders can not beat Trump) main reason why Clinton beat Sanders, just get fear in head of voters on my opinion. In matter of wars just see previous Clinton mandate how many wars started( it is well known that Hilary made decisions). If Sander won on general elections we would have a lot more stable situation in world, and you would probably have better economy, Instead you had two lunatics to vote for, fear is where all people in world fail on elections. My country is undeveloped and fear is even more expresed but we didn’t have someone like Sanders in sea of parties.

Well, it’s clear that we have very different perspectives on this, but I do appreciate you taking the time to express yours.
