Friday Fictioneers — Fixer-Upper

img_0536“I thought you’d be willing to put some sweat equity into this place,” Matt said to his partner, Jack.

“But the middle of the building looks like a bomb exploded in it,” Jack said.

“It sorta did,” Matt admitted. “The guy who owned the place used the building’s lobby as a meth lab, and one day: BOOM!”

“You’re kidding, right?” Jack asked.

“That’s just the middle of the structure. The restaurant on the right and the bar on the left are both salvageable,” Matt said. “All we gotta do is reconstruct the lobby area.”

“That’s all, huh?” laughed Jack.
