Conservatory of Flowers

For this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge, titled “Variations on a Theme,” we are asked to show the same thing — an object, place, or person — presented in several different ways.

I took this picture (using my iPhone) of the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.

img_0531The Conservatory of Flowers is a greenhouse and botanical garden that houses a collection of rare and exotic plants. With construction completed in 1879, it is the oldest building in Golden Gate Park. It was one of the first municipal conservatories constructed in the United States and is the oldest remaining municipal wooden conservatory in the country.

It really is an incredibly beautiful building, so for my variations on a theme post, I decided to use some of the filters from apps I recently downloaded to my iPhone. The first two below are from the app, Sketch Me! and the third is from Prisma.

I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with these filters. Whaddya think?

You sure are delighted, like a kid in a candy store. Huh, Sensei?

It does look a bit ghostly, doesn’t it?
