Okay, I’ll bite. What is going on over at WordPress today? Earlier today WordPress posted its daily one-word prompt with the word “knit.”
And, as I do just about every day, I dutifully wrote my response to that one word prompt.
Then around five hours later, WordPress posted its second one-word prompt of the day, “bite.”
What’s up with two one-word prompts in the same day? Did Michelle Weber, who hosts these daily one-word prompts, suffer temporary amnesia and forget, when she posted “bite,” that she’d earlier posted “knit”?
Or is WordPress breaking with tradition and posting one-word prompts twice a day? Maybe they’ll start posting them three or four times a day. Or maybe even hourly.
Perhaps their aim is to keep us all so busy responding to one-word prompts that we’ll be distracted from all the crap that’s going on in the world around us.
That works for me.
There seem to be a few other issues going on as well as that one – maybe it’s the post-monday madness stuff, but I’m not seeing half the new posts and have to open them from email. The ones I’m getting here aren’t going to email, and vice-versa. Strange, indeed.
I don’t mind the doubling up on daily word prompt – didn’t like knit at all. Sounds like work, a wound. Now bite I like – bite me! was my first response, but then, then I decided to behave myself (a little).

“Bite me!” is my favorite retort.

it goes through my head a lot, too – but I’m not allowed to say it aloud! Which gets another one …

I didn’t like knit, but I was good on bite, so it worked for me.

I didn’t particularly like “knit,” either, but I wrote a post using it, not expecting a second daily one-word prompt today!

Ever since those pesky Russian expatriate Trump supporters bought out WordPress, things just haven’t been the same

This happened before as on June 15th the second prompt was total.

I didn’t remember that. I guess I missed the second one that day.

well heck, everyone was being good except me…i DID use bite me. rats, I will never be a good blogger at this rate. And I am sick and tired of wp screwing around with my posts, sending them hither and yon and everywhere in between except where I want them to go. I think it is aliens instead of Russians. they are getting ready for the invasion by mucking about with bloggers.

My posts are disappearing on the reader, is that normal?

No, it’s not normal, although some other bloggers have been complaining about how some weird stuff has been going on with the WordPress app.
